- Kokosing Gap Trail...The Kokosing Gap Trail is 13.3 miles of
some of the most beautiful country in Ohio. It is a paved bike trail
through the woods, a long the Kokosing River between Mount
Vernon and Danville.

year-round cabins, hundreds of campsites, horseback riding,
canoeing, hiking, and nature studies.

- The Victorian House...One of the largest historic homes in Mount
Vernon's North Main Street.

- Rustic Knolls Campground...Rustic Knolls is a quiet family
campground with swimming available on a sandy beach and a
playground for children.

- Knox Lake...The oldest in Knox County, Knox Lake is located two
miles east of the village of Fredericktown. The 500 acre, two mile
long lake was created in the early 1950's for fishing.
- Kokosing Valley Camp and Canoe...This facility is a family owned
RV park which includes 200 campsites and has the only canoe livery
on the Kokosing River. A favorite of campers, nature lovers and
fishermen.

- Mount Vernon... Located just an hour north of Columbus Mount Vernon was named
an All-American City in 1965 by the Look Magazine and the National
Municipal League. The city is proud of that honor and has maintained the
standards that brought that high acclaim. In 1990, Mount Vernon was
featured on the cover of the Ohio Magazine and praised for its elegant
charm. Once again recognized by this magazine in 1994, Mount Vernon
celebrated the honor of being named Ohio's "Most Livable Community".
